Since the vacation I’ve been a little lazy in the mornings and haven’t taken the kids’ pictures. I know you are all very sad, but I will try to get back in the groove tomorrow. Charles is off this week, so things are a little crazy around here, but in a good way. Here are a few pics of our vacation this weekend – enjoy!!

Well, its 12:32am and I’m in a Ramada Inn outside Bowling Green Kentucky. Today we spent the day about an hour outside Nashville, Tennessee hiking at Burgess Falls. It was GORGEOUS. Can’t wait to post some pics – but SOMEONE forgot the pack the cord for the camera – (my face is blushing even though I refuse to accept the blame!!)

We aren’t sure what we are going to do today, but I’m sure it will be fun, although it better not include much walking because I honestly am not sure if I will be able to move in the morning. My toe is KILLING me!!

More after we get home and I can post some fabulous pics!

I was doing some research online about speech delay, etc. and came across this:

4 YEARS: A four-year-old can follow two-step directions such as “close the book and give it to me”. She also knows her first and last name, can answer reasoning questions such as, “What do we do when we’re cold?”, and can tell a short story such as, “two kids played ball.” Sentences are usually 4 to 5 words long. By four a child is giving directions such as “put my shoes on” and asking many questions. A four-year-old understands 1500-2000 words and can use the following pronouns: he, she, you, me, I, mine.

This makes me sad… Trey is almost 4 and isn’t anywhere near this. I knew it was bad, but living with him day to day sometimes makes a person forget how severe his delay is, you know?

And now?? He totally does all those things! I can’t explain how much he has improved in the last year, its absolutely amazing!

This weekend the kids and I went with Dorothy to Mt. Carmel, Illinois to her Aunt and Uncle’s 60th Wedding Anniversary. It was really fun, but we were EXHAUSTED by the time we got back to Indianapolis.

I found the cord to upload pics from my camera so I can actually take REAL pics again and not just lousy ones from my Razr- yay me!! (And I think my mommy is going to get me a media card reader for my bday so then it will be even COOLER!!)

(Take my advice if you have a lousy connection don’t click on the pics cuz they are big lol)
