Hair…
I’ve recently become obsessed with fixing the girls’ hair. Up until this year neither of them would sit and actually let me DO much with it, so they normally just got ponies and normal braids. I’ve been experimenting a little here and there, mostly just to get them used to sitting still while their hair is being done.
I’ve also done some research online for some fun hairdos. I’ve found some great sites for ideas. If you are interested – check a few out – very fun!!
So far, I’ve been taking pics of the girls every morning, and you can see how their hair has been done so far, some days more exciting than others. I’m hoping in the next few weeks to try some more complicated styles – we’ll see how it goes!!! The plan is – LESS BORING HAIR

Music, Movies, and More (an update, if you will)
Well, since I’m dying in pain over here (didn’t hear about my fall? click here) and I’m bored, I’ll share some coolness…
We haven’t seen a ton of movies lately, but I haven’t posted about movies for MONTHS, so let’s see if I can remember a few that we’ve seen.
21: I liked it, but then again, I pretty much love all things Kevin Spacey because he is cool and all.
Hancock: Also a really good movie, I wasn’t expecting much when we went to see it, but I enjoyed it alot – I recommend it.
Lady in the Water: Well, you can’t go wrong with Paul Giamatti, first of all… And I heard this movie was a total waste of time, so I hadn’t given it much thought – but Charles started watching it onDemand this weekend and it was really good. Different, but good.
Shutter: Waste of time… NEXT…
I’m sure we’ve seen others, but none are coming to mind right now. We are really into In Treatment on HBO, and Weeds on Showtime right now, oh and Swingtown on CBS, which I’m sure is about to go off for the summer never to be heard from again, even though its a pretty good show. You know, for a show about Swingers in the 70s hahahha…
Here is a great song. I know I’ve posted about it before, but its so good it bears repeating. The lyrics are great.
U2 – Stuck in a Moment
I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up!!!
Yes, indeedy… that’s me alright!
I just fell and discombobulated myself.
And all I was trying to do was pull up my pants after using the bathroom, geez… lol what’s a girl to do??
So um, yeah, I got up off the toilet and WHAM the tile jumped up to grab me, just as I heard the SMASH of a plastic drawer that was crushing under the giant force of my enormous buttocks landing on it. One leg went one way, the other went the other (fortunately, I managed to bend one leg mid-fall to avoid a total Chinese Splits!! haha). My shoulder crashed into the door jamb of the closet and my big toe joint (bunion) smacked the ceramic tile. Charles was in bed with Trey telling him a story about how years ago The Wizard built his garage in the freezing cold winter and he said, “Um… do I need to come and help you??” lol NO! Just stay put, I’d rather you not see me like this lol… He said, “What happened?” – Me: “Oh, the floor was just all wet and I didn’t see it”, then he said, “I don’t know WHY you don’t ever turn that stupid light on.” Yeah… me either haha
Well I’m wishing now I had, lemme tell ya – my hips hurt, my arm, my knee, my foot, my wrist… tomorrow should be SO FUN!!! N O T
Charles told me I should take some meds and lay down and go to sleep. Yeah, if only it were that easy for me.

Morning School Picture Day 9 and The Tree Incident

So last night Sydney went to church with a friend. Trey and Ally were playing in our room watching TV – OR SO WE THOUGHT!!! They actually, had sneaked out of our bedroom window and were tearing up the beautiful tree in our front yard – basically the only thing we had left that hadn’t been messed up in some way by them. We found out when Sydney came home and I opened the door and the friend, her mom, and Sydney were standing at the door – then I saw Trey and Syd said, “They were crawling on the car…” How wonderful – not embarrassing at all, not in any way – none whatsoever. Then I saw the tree… omg. And of course the branches they broke off couldn’t possibly be in the back, no no no it has to be in the front where everyone can look and point and snicker.
Well, Charles wants to cut it down, but we are not making any hasty decisions. My dad thinks it might fill itself back in, so we ust really don’t know yet what we are going to do. Needless to say, it was mildly stressful.
Oh, and then when I walked by the car this morning, I saw that they had also taken all the camp chairs out of the trunk and put them in the car seats… Lovely. At least they didn’t break anything in there and managed to completely shut the doors so that the battery wasn’t dead. Always a silver lining, right???????
