We spent Christmas Day at Dorothy’s and was able to FINALLY scan quite a few of the pics I’d been wanting to scan for a long time. There are still more that I want to scan, but I got a number of them scanned.

The woman in the middle in the wheelchair is my GGG-Grandma, Sarah Gray Hayden. The skinny woman to her right is my GG-Grandma, Nancy Abigail Sankey Hayden.
Friends and Family
My Granny (GG-Grandma – Ida Hayden Thompson) is the 2nd from the left in the front row. The rest are friends she was often photographed with, they were all also relation in one way or another.

Granny (Ida Hayden Thompson) is the woman in the very middle of the back row in the light dress looking very shy. I THINK that the 2nd from the right in the back row is her brother Ural, but I am guessing based on other photos I have of him.
Family Reunion

This is a family reunion that was held in Drake Cemetery, in Fairbanks, Indiana. If I were to guess, I would guess its a Sankey reunion. My GG-Grandpa (Charles Thompson, Sr) is in the front row, 1st person on the right. His wife, (Granny – Ida Hayden Thompson) is in the row behind him a few people over with the twins on her lap. The twins are my Aunt Jessie and Uncle Herbie. Their daughter Nellie, who died at the age of nine (probably not long after this photo was taken) is near the middle of the front row in the white dress with the black belt. The other three children they had at the time had to be in the picture somewhere, but I’m not sure where. My GUESS is that Garland is right in front of Nellie to the left, but I have no guess about Arthur “Bugs” or Lois.

Personally, I can’t imagine that Nickelodeon will keep the show on, but that’s just me. I really think its sad that the press is making such a HUGE fuss over all this anyway, because in reality – 16yo girls get pregnant EVERY DAY! Just cuz she’s Britney’s sister and she’s the squeaky clean character on Zoey 101 its this huge scandal. These things happen. It’s not at all unusual.
Oh, and as for whether Lynne Spears is a bad mother… well, you can’t ALWAYS judge a parent by their kids actions. I mean she is the mom of TWO celebrities, and famous kids aren’t like normal kids. They aren’t exposed to the same things and the parents can’t ALWAYS protect them from everything like they might be able to do in the real world. I don’t think she’s a bad mom – I’m sure she did the best she could. Nobody knows what kind of parent they would be if their kid was as famous as Britney Spears, you know?

Especially for Marigold…
I love doing genealogy – I have been doing it on and off since I was in junior high school – so over 20 years lol. I never got anywhere NEAR where I am since the invention of the net though!!! It’s been very exciting getting with other people researching the same people and filling in the gaps.
So far, I have located 30 out of 32 of my “3rd Great” Grandparents. I have much farther back on some lines – I’m missing a “2nd Great Grandfather’s” parents…Maybe one day I can track down exactly who they are, I’m optimistic. ^^ Lately, I’ve been doing alot of documentation of the information I have compiled. Its tedious and most people probably wouldn’t bother, but if I can’t attach a source to my info, I’m never convinced its accurate. (I’m kinda a stickler about sources lol).
As for Trey – nah, its not usually “bad mama” its usually “Aya Bad!” (Ally is bad!) or “Pup Bad!”. I’m usually good hehehehehe!!

But anyway – we were supposed to go to my Aunt’s house for some yummy Chicken Cordon Bleu, but the stupid snow/ice storm kept us from going. ; ; We are all very sad… BUT – the good news is that we have rescheduled for next Sunday. WOOT!!!
As usual, not much going on around here – my Family Tree Maker file now has over 15,200 names in it, and that is very exciting. ^^ I actually worked my way through a brick wall I’ve had for like 15 years lol. My GGGGrandparents – seems like everyone had them confused with two OTHER people named very similarly and assumed they were the same people. I never did because the dates weren’t logical, and FINALLY I found proof – and that opened a whole SLEW of new names and info. It’s all very exciting – well, to me anyway. (And Jennifer maybe lol who would totally understand my excitement)
Trey is doing GREAT with school, even though its only 30min 2x/week. He’s repeating words and using a few new ones spontaneously. His favorites are “honey” and “shadow” lol. Oh, and “bad” hehe…

When I went to bed, Charles was lying on a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers pillow, and Trey was asleep beside him in a PINK shirt with flowers on it. The dog was asleep half laying on top of Trey. The whole scene was just SO funny! But I know Charles would have freaked out with my posting a picture of him like that (and Trey in PINK!). ^^ hehe
Some of you might know that I suffer from horrible insomnia. Well, this week its been VERY bad. I haven’t been asleep before 3:30am in about 5 days. Its no fun. I’ve taking OTC sleeping pills (and even prescriptions in the past), but nothing seems to help. Charles and I were talking about it today and he mentioned maybe its the Holidays because we both don’t function very well at this time of year, and I said maybe so… Then I talked to Dorothy about it, and she agreed that we don’t do well. Hmm… I didn’t realize it was so obvious how dysfunctional Holidays make us LOL!! Seriously, though, Nov/Dec are depression central in our house hold (All winter some years). Maybe we need that UV light therapy. I’m getting a little sun and exercise with the dog, though, so maybe that will help. This can’t go on like this, though, that’s for sure – not sleeping sucks giant donkey tails.

Meggie Meg Meg!
Ohhhh, Meg is SOOOO cute!!!!!
She is um… how should I say this… SPOILED! And we weren’t the ones who spoiled her!! LOL I really have no idea why anyone would have given up this dog!!! She’s obviously been fed only table scraps as no matter what kind of dog food we give her she won’t touch it. I’ve been mixing dog food w/ people food hoping to wean her onto her own food lol. But honestly, she is still SO skinny that if she eats ANYTHING we are excited. She was (and still is) dangerously thin when we got her, but she’s starting to gain a little, bit by bit. She loves chicken and scrambled eggs – and left over Chinese haha!
And the best thing!?!?! She PEES OUTSIDE!!!!!! HAHA That might not seem like much, but Athena never got the hang of the outside business. She isn’t totally trained on doing her “other” business outside, but since she isn’t eating, she isn’t doing much of that anyway. We do need to work with her about letting us know she needs to go out, but she will instantly pee when you take her out – its awesome lol!!!
She gets along great with the kids, too – well, when they aren’t forgetting she isn’t Athena and try to play a little too rough.
We can tell that Meg is feeling much better, because she’s running around now, and jumping on the couch and starting to bark at the cat lol. I bought her a rawhide bone today and it was hilarious to watch her play with it.
She’s a keeper, for sure!

There’s a new dog in town!!
Well, Athena left us yesterday, and we got a new dog today. 
(And just so you all know, we heard from Athena’s new family right after she was delivered and they were VERY excited to finally have her, and loved her already.) We had to drive to Louisville to get the dog, but she’s worth it. She’s a Basset Hound, and she was adopted from the Humane Society. She’s VERY skinny, but she just was spayed yesterday, and all of December has been filled with Vet visits, shots, being spayed, and moving from place to place. So, you can’t really blame her for not wanting to eat, right??
As soon as we brought her in the door she found part of a biscuit from this morning’s breakfast and ate it right up, even though she wouldn’t touch the puppy food, so we fixed her some toast lol. She did eat some. Her little tummy is still sore, and the lady who did the adoption missed that she’d just been fixed yesterday, so we didn’t know. Fortunately, we were already being very cautious with her!! Syd said, she must have JUST had surgery because she has stitches on her belly. So I looked through the paperwork, and yup yup, she was spayed on 12/5. So anyway, she’s doing VERY well for being one day post-op, in my opinion lol!!! She did a little warning growl twice at Trey when he got in her face after rolling around her, but that’s acceptable, I’d be growling after surgery lol.
But she’s in bed with Charles and Trey right now, and I’m hoping there will be room for me when I go in there in a little bit!! HAHA (Bigger pics coming soon)
Ohhh – her name is “MEG”.

Genealogy is going great – I am totally addicted. There is still TONS of people to add that I’ve found online – www.rootsweb.com rules haha.
Ally is doing much better, her groin area is still red and rashy, but I think its yeast from the antibiotics. I’m gonna get her some yogurt or acidophilus pills tomorrow.
Sydney lost another tooth this week, and is getting ready to lose a 3rd this week lol.
Trey rode the bus for the first time this week – he’s getting so big!!!!! I hadn’t went to the door yet because I thought it was still too early, and he walked in all by himself. It was so cute!!! And he has homework hehe!!
