Scarlet Fever has left the building!
Ally is doing great. Rash gone, and now her skin is peeling in sheets lol… Its not funny I guess, but it kinda is – haha – is that wrong of me??? 
The girls were happy to be back in school today and Trey is excited about starting school tomorrow. I’ll be sure to let you all know how it goes!!
Oh, and Syd’s tooth was extracted successfully w/o issue.

QUARANTINE!!!
Yup, its official – Scarlet Fever has entered the building.
Don’t worry, we aren’t really having to do any quarantine nowadays lol! She’s on amoxycillin, and can go back to school on Wednesday. She also has impetigo on her chin and eczema on her eye… Her immune system is so jacked up right now, poor thing. She’s still not “sick” though, so that’s been good at least. Trey seemed to have a slight fever this morning but seemed fine later in the day – his appetite hasn’t decreased, so he doesn’t seem to have a sore throat. I did call the school and delay his start date from tomorrow until Thursday just to be safe.
Sydney has her dental appointment tomorrow at 2pm, so its worked out for her to be out from school for a few days, too, just to be safe. (She had a fever all day and spent the day in bed on Saturday.)

Does the drama in my life ever stop? lol
Ally woke up with a headache on Friday morning, and then slept most of the day. She was fine after that, and then had a fever Friday night. She woke up on Saturday morning with a rash but no fever and she didn’t act sick. She had complained of a sore throat once on Friday, but didn’t seem bothered by it afterwards. So my first thought was Scarlatina, which I had like 3x as a kid. (Its basically scarlet fever, some people say its a mild version some say its no different – scarlet fever is basically nothing more than strep throat with a rash, it rarely causes complications anymore due to antibiotics.) Anyway, her rash got worse today, its on her whole torso, worse in her groin area (looks like she has diaper rash), her neck, chin, cheek, and eye. She says it doesn’t itch, and she doesn’t act sick in the least… So tomorrow if its worse we are planning on at least calling the pediatrician to see if she needs to be seen… I am doubting the scarlatina now, though, because she isn’t “sick”. I remember when I had it those times and I was MISERABLE!
Anyway, fast forward to tonight – Sydney complains about her tooth… omg – her tooth is so screwed up! I called my mom to leave a message for the dentist for an emergency appointment. I don’t know if she has an abscess or what, but her gum is beet red and terribly swollen and looks bruised and is partially split and bleeding… Her filling is missing from that tooth, too… I am guessing he will pull it. She says it hurts but its not terrible. She has the WORST TEETH like ever…….. they are so horrible, poor thing!! (She had 6 caps and 2 fillings when she was 13mos old – and has had like 4 fillings since then, too. I blame antibiotics as an infant – and had a dentist tell me it was likely.)
So………… I have to take Syd to the dentist 2hrs away and try to get Ally in to be seen at the pediatrician’s office, too, if her rash isn’t better. Lovely – that shouldn’t be too hard, huh?????? LOL!!!!

Trey’s Evaluation
Well, all went well at the evaluation today. Everyone was very nice and they went on and on about how much they really enjoyed having Trey visit them – but hey, we all knew that he’s a sweetheart, didn’t we???
They affirmed what we’ve known all along – he has excellent receptive skills – which means he understands everything that you say to him. His problem is apparently all articulation – the forming of sounds.
We talked to the psychologist about how she felt about Trey being on the Autism Spectrum, and she said that when she first met him, she immediately noticed that he had a melodic self-soothing sort of noise he was making when he was still nervous, but she also noticed this went away immediately. She went on about how he made good eye contact, had good imaginative play, interacted with the other kids, etc. She said that it’s POSSIBLE, but at this time she says it isn’t a concern to her, and if we still notice things at home (lining up toys, routines, etc.) we should have him re-evaluated in about 2 years – before he starts K or 1st grade. And as much as her reassurance should have been a relief, I still feel in my heart that he fits on the spectrum somewhere, even though I do believe its very mild. BUT – everything in my mind might change once he starts verbalizing more, too…
We have been working with Trey quite a bit one word at a time the past few weeks, and he spontaneously used the word CAR today – which was a HUGE breakthrough. His word for car is “blumb”. He’s used this word for probably a year. We started slowly, encouraging him to try to say “car” each time we heard “blumb”. At first he was VERY resistant… And he would use the word each time we corrected him, but never spontaneously. Well, today, we were driving along the interstate and he said “dun car” (which means “lots of cars”) and I was so excited. LOL
Although he’s still working on “car”, he’s getting it, so we chose another word today to work on – “train”. He can’t say it yet, but he’s at least willing to TRY to verbalize something other than “choo choo” which is HUGE!!!
All in all, it was a good day – well, as far as Trey is concerned – the rest of the day was a total disaster, but that’s a whole OTHER story…

Kidney Stones
I’m trying to pass some kidney stones… its great fun!!! I am hoping this will all be over and done with in the next few days. This is FAR from my first trip down this road, though, so I at least know what to expect. So far the pain has only been about a 1-2 compared to the 10 I had with the stone I passed when I was pregnant with Allyson… Wow! That wasn’t a pretty scene, lemme tell ya! I think this will probably be stone #11 or something like that at this point. I’ve passed 2+ w/ each pregnancy and 2-3 since Trey’s been born. I’ve only ended up in the ER once though. Well, twice, but the first one they sent me home w/o being seen because the pain had subsided and we were poor lol… I passed the stone the next day. The one REAL time in the ER was when I was pregnant with Ally. I was delirious with pain and threw up 20+ times in one hour- no joke. I was in the ER waiting room on the bathroom floor writhing in pain and throwing up for nearly 2 hrs before I was finally seen. Then they finally gave me morphine and it was heavenly lol!!!! I was instantly asleep.
Anyway, I’ve only had to take 1 vicodin for the pain so far, so its really not been that bad. But I know how bad the pain CAN be, so I get VERY anxious about any little twinge. Those of you who know me in real life know that I have very serious anxiety issues anyway, so added anxiety or pain isn’t a good thing for me lol…

Sad Day
Some of you might remember that Charles had a family member battling cancer. He had been visiting Bobby three days a week… Bobby passed away this afternoon. We will miss him so much. I don’t really have any more words about this situation right now.
