I was calling for her again after I got out of the shower and heard her cry, and she ran in the house – with mouse fur on her face and all lol. At least she found food! (She’s never been outside, other than an escape or two which have always ended in about 3min…so I was really worried about her.)
We are so happy to have Isis home again!!!
Adding Insult to Injury
Our cat is gone.

Someone had opened the backdoor last night and I saw it when I went to bed around 2am. I shut the door, and we haven’t seen the kitty since then. We are devastated.

This has to stop, seriously
I am so over this. Seriously over it! You guys have no idea…
Our car broke down again and nobody has a car that we can use while we get the other one fixed… Actually, we don’t even have the money to get the Audi fixed, so we are in a pickle. So we have been researching buying a new car – um yeah, the frikkin’ bank said no. Yeah – we’ve never been late on our car payments ever. *sigh* I swear I am so pissed off right now you have no idea. We finally got ahold of my MIL and she was gonna come up to lend us her car and guess what???? She had car trouble on the way up to our house and had to turn around and go back home.
Which means – we have to rent a car AGAIN… Yeah – we’ve spent at least $500 this month on towing, renting, and NOT fixing cars. Its been so frustrating that I don’t even know how to tell you all. We have to worst car karma EVER! (Not to mention our mortgage company royally screwed us this month because they had withheld some money and in the mean time also royally screwed us on the credit report side, too… sigh – I swear the universe hates us, honestly… So we have no money, no car, and no happiness atm hahahah! jk – well, if you can’t laugh, then you cry, and that doesn’t prove anything, right??)
Charles is on the phone with his uncle right now about purchasing a new vehicle through him, and I told him to cry lol or tell him that I would cry if need be… lol Hopefully he can strike some deal about paying for it later – idk, I’m seriously at a loss right now on what to do. Anyone have a car they don’t want anymore????? LOL

Man, last night I had the worst migraine I’ve had in months – years maybe. I was starting to get that freaked out paranoid feeling I get when I have intense pain, but luckily I was able to get to sleep within about 30 min after the worst part came on.
Tomorrow Ally and Trey have a Dr. appointment. That should be fun. I was trying to get Dorothy to come up and help me, but they are in the midst of post-vacation-anti-climatic-come-down… You know, that feeling you get when you come home from vacation?? Blech – I hate that feeling lol. I haven’t talked to them since they got home but hopefully they brought me some delicious crab meat and some Scrapple mm mm good!
What else…? Oh, Trey got hit in the head with an empty glass salt shaker today and his head was gashed open. Fortunately he doesn’t need stitches… The culprit?? I’ll give you one guess… **cough** Ally **cough** ^^

Nothing going on
Well, everyone in my family is gone to Baltimore, MD for a family reunion. With all the drama with our cars and rashes and money we decided we better not push our luck by going.
I think I somehow ended up with poison ivy (its not what the kids had) on my feet and my face. It has not been pleasant lol…
A girl from the neighborhood has been coming around the last few days to play with the kids, so that’s been nice.
Still quiet around here and not much to post about… lol maybe one of these days!

Clean Happy Dog
Athena had her first trip to the groomer today. We normally had been washing her ourselves, but as she’s gotten SOO big and considering she has fleas we wanted her to get a flea dip, and let someone else wash her, haha! She got her bath, flea dip, ears washed, “paw pads and potty parts” cleaned (lol yeah, that’s what they called it on the phone), nails clipped, and anal glands expelled (yummy… gag). She is all happy now haha! They even sent her home with a pretty pink bandanna.
Spots and Critters
Well I don’t think the spots were/are chicken pox. The bumps on pox usually rupture within 12 hrs or so and these never really did. So I don’t really know what they were/are. Charles thinks they’re chiggers, but they don’t really look like any chiggers I’ve ever had. (Although he swears they look like all chiggers he’s ever had…lol). I know have 2 spots and Sydney has a handful, too. Hopefully these will all just clear up really quickly.
Now, the next thing is….. my dog has fleas. I know what you are thinking and you are wrong lol! You think that our spots are flea bites! But they aren’t. The spots that Ally and Trey have started out as blistery things, not spots like a bug bite. I honestly can’t believe that we haven’t been eaten alive by fleas because normally if there is a flea in the room, it will surely bite Charles and I both. One time when we lived in Sullivan, we had just moved into a house that was already infested. Wow! That was not fun. You would literally see them bouncing around when you looked at the carpet. We had to set off bombs about 4x before we killed all those suckers – and we looked like we had leprosy or something. Before we finally got rid of them we had to sit with long pants tucked into tall socks, and keep our feet off the floor. That was NOT a fun first few weeks of living somewhere, lemme tell ya!

Yuck!
Ok, so all of my kids have been immunized, albeit we delayed all vax on Trey, and most on Ally – but that’s another story… They HAVE all received the chicken pox vaccine. BUT! I really think Ally (and possibly Trey) have chicken pox! They don’t have very many spots (Trey only has 2), but they are red with a whitish center that looks blistery. So far they are all dry – but who knows what will happen when/if they bust. Ally has them on her neck and chest, and on one hip, under her arm, and even one in her belly button. Trey’s are on his back and under his arm. If I get a chance I will take a pic.
And I think I somehow have poison ivy on my foot… This makes no sense since I haven’t been anywhere to GET it, but who knows. It’s so crazy around our house this weekend I can’t even begin to tell you.
I don’t mind if they have chicken pox, especially if its as mild as it seems to be. Ally has a different sense of feeling than most people and her spots don’t bother her a bit. Trey has complained a few times of the spot on his back itching, but nothing serious. We’ll see I guess, huh?

YAY Sydney is coming home!
Syd is on her way home – woot! We really miss her alot when she’s gone. She really keeps the younger two entertained lol…
I haven’t posted much lately, but honestly nothing has been going on – just normal day to day blah blah blah, you know?
We watched You, Me and Dupree yesterday, which was really funny because the night before I’d had a dream that I knew Matt Dillon in real life hahah!!!
Oh, there is a 4 part show on The Discovery Channel that Charles has been really excited about lately – Building the Future – its a very interesting show about all sorts of neat new things. Check it out!

Recent Song Obsessions…
First of all, I heard a song from a local group (Hum.V) on the radio the other day, and it’s pretty good: Simple Man. Maybe a little cheesy… but not bad.
My second song obsession lately is Plain White T’s – “Hey There Delilah”. It’s a little different than songs I normally listen to, but it seems like there is a trend of groups coming out with songs that have this sort of sound – The Shins, Get Set Go (VERY funny group!!!), Aqualung, The All American Rejects… and many more.
And lastly -
NORMALLY I dislike anything with any ring of “country” to it, but something about this song… I can’t help but love it. I love her voice – it’s like k.d. lang, Janis Joplin, and Melissa Etheridge with a little Patsy Cline thrown in for good measure. Also, just when you are about to change the station because a rock channel is playing some country song, the guitars start – and the drums – and you can’t help but be mesmerized… lol Enjoy!
